The day when Real Madrid took away Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United by paying 94 million euros will not be forgotten by all and especially by Man United fans. It was indeed a saddest day in their lives, but on the other side a history was being made as it was one of the costliest transfers in the history of football. This is a record deal that the Real Madrid signed with the Portuguese winger.
However there have been a lot of debates since then, questioning the pragmatism behind such a lavish signing, but wise men have said that given the reputation and skill of the player, he is surely worth a lot of money and on his day he can simply hoodwink any opposition with his cleaver ball movement. He creates gaps and opportunities for forwards hence he can be dangerous. In such top form he is priceless and no money can buy that, so the amount is justified.
